Our representative, who is highly interested in contemporary art, purchased a work by Mina Katsuki, who is active in various Asian countries and is attracting attention. This work was on display at her solo exhibition “From one stroke” held at Yumiko Chiba Associates from March 11 to April 22, 2023.
As the title “From one stroke” suggests, the work was completed in one stroke, and although it is blue in color, it is filled with a burning, concentrated passion and strength.
Our representative has long been fascinated by her talent for painting “works for looking at paint” and purchased a piece of her artwork in 2018 as well. Her method of expression, which involves mixing over 200 colors of blue and completing them with a single stroke, has not changed since the time he were first captivated by her work.
